People have been buzzing about Dave Price‘s new deal and Bob Barker‘s retirement announcement.

Now it’s in print: The NYDN’s Marisa Guthrie says one of the “entertainment-based projects” in the Early Show weatherman’s new contract may indeed be “The Price Is Right.”

Oooh: “In September, Price was trying out Barker’s job in the Broadway offices of FremantleMedia (which distributes and produces the game show with CBS), according to a Manhattan man who answered a Craig’s List post to be an audience member in a mock run-through.”
