The Ticker: Hockenberry, Brown, ABC…

> Today marks the premiere of The Takeaway, a radio program hosted by former NBC News anchor John Hockenberry and Adaora Udoji, previously of ABC, Court TV and CNN. The Takeaway currently airs in seven states, including New York, Massachusetts and Wisconsin, and all shows stream online.

> The AP reports former CNN anchor Aaron Brown has joined PBS as anchor of the “Wide Angle” series. The series is a, “weekly public affairs series with a global focus.” The new season begins July 1.

> ABCNews.com begins a ten-part series on the underground nightlife of cities around the world today, and continuing for 10 consecutive days. The plum assignment will be handled by ABC News’ digital reporters (today’s first report comes from Joohee Cho, about South Korea’s “one-night stand” bar culture).
