The American News Women’s Club honored C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb at a gala Saturday night. On Sunday’s Face the Nation, Bob Schieffer paid tribute: 
 He has always taken some kind of on-air role and the exposure has made him a fixture on television. But in the age of the blowhard, he has some real quirks — like parking his ego at the door before he enters the studio. In all his years on C-SPAN, the two words he has never said are ‘Brian Lamb,’ his own name. He feels it just gets in the way.
