‘The View’ Planning 3,000th Episode Special

In addition to having David Letterman on for its 14th season premiere tomorrow, ABC’s “The View” is also set to celebrate its 3000th show later this month.

ABC is being coy about what will be featured on the September 23rd live show, but all of the co-hosts, past and present, will be there, as will “special guests.”

In the days leading up to episode 3,000, “The View” will feature segments from its debut year — 1997 — all the way to the present, as well as an “In memoriam” tribute segment.

The NYC bakery Crumbs is also creating a special “3,000th show” cupcake, which it will sell in all of its locations Starting Sept. 23.
