This Is A Fist Bump

A demonstration of the friendly gesture known as a “fist bump.”

The reaction to last Tuesday’s fist bump between Barack and Michelle Obama continues. Yesterday on CNN’s Late Edition, Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kay Bailey Hutchison engaged in a fist bump. And last week, Time.com published, “A Brief History of the Fist Bump.”

Then there’s FNC’s E.D. Hill. Media Matters writes about the anchor who, on Friday, promoted a segment on what the bump might mean:

“A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? The gesture everyone seems to interpret differently. We’ll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says.”

The “terrorist fist jab” is never explained in the segment, but it refers to something brought up by a commenter to a Cal Thomas article on HumanEvents.com.
