ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos was the top rated Sunday morning public affairs show yesterday, according to the 57 metered markets measuring overnight household viewership.
The program featured an exclusive interview with President-elect Barack Obama.
This Week averaged a 3.8/9, followed by NBC’s Meet the Press with a 3.5/9 and CBS’ Face the Nation with a 2.3/6.
The actual ratings will be released on Thursday.
> Update: An emailer notes the overnight ratings in the D.C. market had MTP on top, 6.0 to 2.9. FOX averaged a 2.9 and CBS a 2.0 in D.C.
> Update at 4:15pmET: NBC tells TVNewser MTP and This Week tied with a 3.0/8 in the actual household ratings when looking at national data. In the A25-54 demo, MTP averaged a 1.2 with This Week at 1.1.
