Thomas Roberts Joins MSNBC Fulltime

Even though it’s been official for a few weeks, now it’s really official because an MSNBC press release says so.

Thomas Roberts is joining the network fulltime as an anchor. Roberts, who’s worked for HLN and “Entertainment Tonight” has appeared regularly on MSNBC over the past year. He’s anchored several dayside hours and filled in for Keith Olbermann on “Countdown.” While he won’t have a regular timeslot, insiders tell us MSNBC wanted to sign Roberts before another network or program did.

The “official” press release after the jump…

THOMAS ROBERTS JOINS MSNBC AS DAYSIDE ANCHOR

NEW YORK, NY—December 20, 2010—Award-winning journalist Thomas Roberts has joined MSNBC as an anchor, effective immediately.
