‘Today’ Song Gets Daytime Emmy Nom

newday.jpgThe Today Show has received an Emmy nomination for its “post-Katie Couric era” song “It’s A New Day, Today.”

The Daytime Emmy Nominations, announced today, included Today’s nom for “Outstanding Original Song.” Randy Wachtler and Greg Barnhill of 615 Music and Frank Radice of NBC are credited as composers/lyricists.

Today is up against two Guiding Light songs, one from Passions, and one from The Young and the Restless…
