Tony Kornheiser Signs New ESPN 980 Deal

Tony Kornheiser, a former Washington Post sports columnist turned yodeler, has signed a tw0-year extension with Red Zebra Broadcasting to continue The Tony Kornheiser Show on ESPN 980 in Washington, DC.

Kornheiser returned to the radio last September after a hiatus because of his Monday Night Football duties.

“Tony’s show is one of the most popular shows on the radio, not just in D.C. but nationwide,” Red Zebra director of programming Chuck Sapienza said in a release. “His fans will be happy to know that not only will his show remain the same, but Tony’s program is streamed and available for download at ESPN980.com.”

This announcement comes on the heels of Kornheiser’s show getting picked up by ESPN Radio as a daily podcast.

Regardless of what you think about Kornheiser on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, his radio show is worth a listen – just don’t go in expecting sports talk.

You’re more likely to hear Kornheiser analyze  and dissect Don & Betty Draper than discuss the Washington Redskins, which is what makes the show absolutely brilliant.
