Tony Snow’s Death: Final Appearance Remembering Russert
Tony Snow‘s final on-air appearance with his new network, CNN, came one day short of one month ago — on the day Tim Russert passed away.
Snow phoned in and was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer:
I think he had enormous respect for the institution. he had enormous respect for The White House and the most important thing is he had a volcanic gusto. He loved the business of politics. He would have a great big laugh about stuff that he thought was funny or outrageous and he had this ability to be starkly analytical and then the guy next door that you always wanted to see when you came back home.
At the end of the interview, Blitzer wished him luck, saying, “I know you haven’t been feeling that great lately.”
