TV Docs & Medical Synergy

Nate_LaPook_1029.jpgTwo doctors, two cities, two broadcasts. Dr. Jon LaPook, Medical Correspondent for the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, worked with Oprah’s Dr. Mehmet Oz to perform a colonoscopy on a man, who had never been screened, but whose brother died of colon cancer when he was just 35.

LaPook performed the surgery on the man named Nate in New York City while Oz assisted in Chicago. Later Nate, and about 300 other men, were guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
