Vanity Fair Torturing Intern with Cable News

Over four days next week, Vanity Fair intern Thomas Kaplan will be subjected by his bosses to 32 hours of cable news viewing in a small room. Each day, as a “cunning” form of “torture,” he will watch a full slate of CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, or Fox News.

(TVNewser would like to point out that, for some of us, this supposed “torture” is actually our full-time job.)

Kaplan wrote a post about it and will be providing regular updates via tweet. Also, he promises to have a streaming webcam hooked up so we can all check in on his progress. We’ll be following up with him next week to see how he’s surviving or if he’s been irreparably damaged.

Good luck, Thomas. Our advice: try not to stare directly into Wolf Blitzer’s beard.
