Walter Cronkite IV, the grandson of legendary CBS Newsman Walter Cronkite, is an intern this fall at CBS’ Washington, DC bureau.

The junior at Hamilton College, who goes by the name Walt, is the son of Walter “Chip” Cronkite III and the actress Deborah Rush.

At the memorial this morning for his grandfather, Bob Schieffer talked about how Walt stopped in to his office the other day and asked, “What was it like when my grandfather was here?” Schieffer told him, “It was fun. We all wanted to be there.”
