Washington Nationals Part Ways With Rob Dibble

Rob Dibble, who took time off from his position as Washington Nationals color commentator after drawing fire for criticizing phenom Stephen Strasburg, will not return to the broadcast booth.

Dibble last appeared on August 25. He made his comments during a Sirius XM radio show.

The issue brings to mind Monday’s USA Today story about former athletes joining the broadcast booth. In the article, players including Rodney Harrison and Jeremiah Trotter discusses the difficulty of walking the line between being fair and being honest. Dibble crossed the invisible, and he paid the price with his job.
