We Interrupt This Middle East Crisis For A Houston Car Chase

CNN Headline News took a break from news coverage to deliver over an hour of commercial free coverage of a car chase this afternoon. The net relied on chopper video from KTRK in Houston, Texas. “Law enforcement expert” Mike Brooks handled the play by play. CNN Pipeline ran the chase on pipe 1. Here’s a little liveblogging:

5:26pm: Brooks: “The guy definitely isn’t going anywhere”

5:25pm: The suspect drives into a gulley and gets stuck in several feet of water

5:12pm: Kathleen Kennedy Catherine Calloway: “He’s actually on a golf course path. Can you believe this? This is a first”

5:10pm: “They should just take him out!,” Thomas Roberts exclaims

5:06pm: Brooks: “This is a formula for disaster”
