Where In The World Is Ann Curry?

Ann Curry.jpgAs Matt Lauer said this morning on Today, “It’s time to ask the question, ‘Where in the World is Ann Curry?’” After all, she and her crew had been trying to land at, and report from, the South Pole. But, as has been the case for Curry et al this week, it’s a tricky landing for pilots, and communicating updates back to New York has proven difficult, too.

So when Curry phoned in to the show today, to say she had finally arrived, she got a standing ovation on-air from Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales.

“We’re feeling really lucky, the sun is shining,” she told the group. “We’re taping all of this, so we can bring it all to the American people. Less than 7,000 people have ever been to the South Pole.”

Curry described the journey as a “once in a lifetime” experience.
