Who Will Be the Guests on Larry King’s Final Show?
Tonight is the end of an era, as CNN’s 9 PM host Larry King hangs up the suspenders on his nightly interview program. But there is still one final mystery: who will the guests be on his final program?
CNN has been largely silent on the issue, running promos for tonight’s final show and marketing it simply as a “star-studded” affair.
So far we know three people: “American Idol” host and King favorite Ryan Seacrest, “Real Time” host and King regular Bill Maher, and “The Apprentice” host Donald Trump.
Of course, those three will probably be joined by plenty of other big names. The only question is who.
Update: The New York Post reports that news anchors Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters will also appear and salute King.
King has spoken openly about his desire to have former New York Governor Mario Cuomo on his last show. Cuomo was the first guest on King’s CNN program, and is back in the news, with his son Andrew now Governer-Elect of New York. His other son Chris Cuomo, is an anchor for ABC News.
Any other guesses as to who will make an appearance tonight? Let us know in the comments.
