Based in Johannesburg, Jeff Koinange was CNN’s highest-profile correspondent dedicated to covering Sub-Saharan Africa. He was practically the only person regularly reporting from Africa for an American-based network. haven’t heard any mention of CNN’s Nairobi or Lagos bureaus in a long time.)
