Some of Brian Williams‘ viewers checked out Katie Couric in September, but they’re coming back. “Williams got letters from regular viewers telling him they had tried Couric’s broadcast, including one man who admitted his wife made him watch for a week,” the AP’s David Bauder reports.

Williams says: “As one of our executives put it, (they came) crawling home with the vague hint of cheap perfume and lipstick on their collar, crawling back after having an affair with another network.
