Williams to Anchor From Texas
At the end of the NBC Nightly News last night, Brian Williams announced he would anchor from Texas next week. The broadcast was supposed to originate from Texas this week, but the financial crisis caused them to return to New York.
“There’s a lot of suffering going on in Texas. We plan to go back to Texas midweek next week,” he said.
Also, Williams published a letter he received on his Daily Nightly blog from Skip Valet, the VP of the NBC affiliate in Houston.
Valet appealed to Williams to bring Nightly News to Texas. “I think Houstonians and Galvestonians would like some national attention paid to this crisis,” he wrote.
