With McClellan, Meet is Tops

mcclellan_6-8.jpgNBC’s Meet the Press was the most-watched Sunday morning news show last week, in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo. ABC’s This Week came in second, CBS finished third and FOX News Sunday came in 4th.

This is the 89th consecutive week Meet the Press has placed first in Total Viewers.

Guests on the program last week included former White House press secretary Scott McClellan, still toward the beginning of his press tour, and Bylaws Committee member and Clinton supporter Harold Ickes, who starred in the cablers coverage the day before.

In the A25-54 demo, NBC finished first, followed by ABC and CBS tied for second and FOX in fourth.

The Tim Russert-moderated Meet the Press had 4,115,000 Total Viewers, compared to This Week with 2,650,000, Face the Nation with 2,495,000 and Fox News Sunday with 1,396,000.
