Vanity Fair media columnist Michael Wolff thinks today’s Dan Rather reports are part of an effort by CBS executives to drive the former anchor out “in the lowest possible manner.”
“They feel embarrassed by what they did to him,” Wolff told Reuters, referring to the Memogate scandal. “They just want him to go away. I’m sure they’ve been trying to get him out of there for weeks if not months, and he’s not going, so now they’re just trying to embarrass him out of there.”
