While covering the housing protests at City Hall in New Orleans today, WDSU reporter Travers Mackel (who’d been reporting breathlessly during the melee earlier in the day) found himself locked in (or was it out?) behind some iron gates, which left his cameraman on the other side. Mackel’s behind-the-sce…err behind-the-fence reports were used by MSNBC and CNN.
