After Snow Cancels Local Games, WYMT Stages Parking Lot ‘Football Game’

WYMT_footballgameWhen the weather intrudes on your sports segment, weird things can happen.

According to WYMT‘s sports anchor Josh McKinney, a snowstorm shut down several local high school basketball games. So the sports anchor at the Hazard, KY, CBS affiliate chose to proverbially punt.

McKinney aired a highlight tape of fellow sports reporters Jamie McCracken and Lauren Cash running around in the snow with a football.

“There wasn’t really a scoring system to this,” said McKinney when pressed about the game by anchor Tanner Hesterberg who ended the segment by saying, “Alright Josh. Thanks, I guess.”
