KOB-TV Logo Julie Szulczewski has been named News Director of KOB-TV in Albuquerque. The Hubbard-owned NBC-affiliate announced on Friday that Szulczewski would begin as the station’s ND in March.

“Julie is a hands-on, get it done type of person,” said KOB-TV Vice President and General Manager Mike Burgess. “Her proven leadership experience and her commitment to breaking news and covering stories important to people are a perfect addition to our newsroom.”

Szulczewski comes to KOB from WSOC-TV in Charlotte, where she has served as Managing Editor for the past two years. She began her career as a producer at WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida over 20 years ago.

“I am very excited to be joining such a successful, quality television station.” Szulczewski said. “KOB has a long history of dedicated news coverage, and excellent people. I am proud to be able to be a part of that legacy.”
