Anchor Tammy Elliott Resigning From WFRV

Anchor Tammy Elliott announced this week that she will be resigning from WFRV at the end of the month.

Elliott, who began with the Green Bay CBS-affiliate as an intern in 1990 and eventually worked her way up to anchor, says that the move is based on her desire to spend more time with her family.

“I’ve always put family first,” Elliott explained, in announcing her resignation. “Right now I’ve chosen to step back in my career to devote more time to my other career–being a mom.”

Following Elliott’s departure on September 30th, Tom Zalaski and Erin Davisson will team up to co-anchor WFRV’s 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts.

“Tom and Erin combined have over 45 years of experience in the market,” said Joe Denk, WFRV’s vice president and general manager. “They are both outstanding broadcast journalists.”

“We respect Tammy’s decision and wish her and her family the best,” Denk added.
