Boston’s WFXT Shows Concern for Men’s Health

It must have been an interesting afternoon for the WFXT editor handling almost-NSFW b-roll for this report about a new study from German researchers.

“Guys, listen up,” said anchor Gene Lavanchy. “A study says it is actually healthy to stare at a woman’s breasts” (video above).

It may come as a surprise to some cynical TV newsers but the segment, which has been picked up by viral media blog Buzzfeed, actually aired after the February sweeps period was over.

>Update: It turns out that this study is a hoax. But WFXT shouldn’t feel bad since MSNBC was duped as well. TVSpy is waiting to hear whether the Fox O&O is going to run a retraction.
