Bud Elliott to Retire From KSEE After More than 23 Years

elliott KSEEBud Elliott, anchor for Fresno NBC affiliate KSEE, has announced he’s retiring in May.

“My career with KSEE 24 has given me the opportunity to meet and work with incredible people,” Elliott said in a statement. “Now I’m looking forward to spending quality time with my family including a brand new grandson in Sacramento, and focusing on some recently discovered health issues.”

There was no mention of what health issues Elliott was talking about.

“Central Valley viewers, as well as those of us who have had the pleasure of working with him, have all benefited from Bud’s talent and dedication,” said Matthew Rosenfeld, KSEE VP and GM. “I know he is looking forward to retirement and the additional time he’ll have to spend with his family.”

KSEE said it plans to remember Elliott’s personal and professional accomplishments over the next month.

Elliott started his career in Denver on radio station KHOW. He then joined CNN as anchor for what became CNN Headline News. Before coming to Fresno, Elliott worked at WRIC in Richmond, VA.

His last broadcast will be May 23.
