Camille Edwards Named VP of News at WABC
Camille Edwards has been named VP of News at New York City ABC O&O WABC, taking over for Kenny Plotnik who left the station in May.
Edwards most recently served as Vice President of News at NBC-owned WRC-TV. Before that she was News Director at NBC’s WMAQ in Chicago from 2003-2008.
WABC GM Dave Davis says Edwards’s “proven commitment to excellence in local TV news, along with her innovative work expanding news content to new-media platforms, made her the ideal choice for the top news post at WABC-TV.”
Earlier in her career Edwards held positions at ABC O&Os in Philadelphia and Chicago. She started as a producer at stations in Toledo, Baltimore and Chicago.
