Logan told viewers on facebook, “I have accepted the morning meteorologist position at KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, AR. I’m very excited and truly blessed to receive this promotion and will now have weekends off, which has been a long time coming.”
He is currently the weekend meteorologist for Raycom-owned WTVM in Columbus, GA. Logan worked at KAIT from November 2008 until joining WTVM in July 2011.
He will replace current morning meteorologist Sarah Tipton (pictured left), who is leaving the station after seven years to spend time with her new baby.
KAIT, the ABC affiliate for Jonesboro, AR, celebrated 50 years as a broadcast TV station.
Anchors Diana Davis and Craig Rickert hosted a show documenting the station’s history which included showing movies “Johnny Concho” starring Frank Sinatra and “The Indian Fighter” starring Kirk Douglas on July 15, 1963, the first day of broadcasting.

We were humbled this week by the outpouring of love and support we received from Region 8 as we celebrated this major milestone in our history. I can’t think of a better way to do that than having a big party and inviting all of our viewers.”

Tim Ingram has been named vice president and general manager of KFVS, the CBS-affiliate serving Southeastern Missouri, Raycom Media announced. Ingram replaces Mike Smythe, who recently retired after 11 years with the station.
“Following Mike Smythe at KFVS is a huge undertaking,” Ingram said in a statement. “He is a legend in our company and in our industry and leaves immense shoes to fill.”
Ingram joins KFVS after four years as general manager at KAIT, the Raycom-owned ABC-affiliate in Jonesboro, AR. Until a replacement for him is named, he will serve in both roles.
