Sports reporter David Watkins is joining KXAS, the NBC O&O in Dallas, according to Dallas media blogger Ed Bark.
Watkins replaces Rontina McCann, who has parted ways the station after a year.
“He is filling a position left open when Rontina left the station,” KXAS vice president of programming Brian Hocker told Bark in an email.
Watkins joins KXAS from KARE, the NBC-affiliate in Minneapolis.
