‘Elmo Shirt Guy’ Talks to KTLA About His Run-In with KRON’s Stanley Roberts

The young man known as “Elmo Shirt Guy” on YouTube went on KTLA this week to talk about his notorious run-in with KRON reporter Stanley Roberts (video above).

In the interview, Daniel Josey says that Roberts drew attention to him getting in the carpool lane, leading a highway patrol officer to ticket him for being alone in the car.  Among the other revelations in the interview: the famous Elmo shirt is from H&M.

Josey also points out that Roberts has been enjoying the popularity of the video, which has racked up over half a million views on YouTube.  After continuously promoting the video’s viral status on his Twitter and Facebook accounts, Roberts was invited to New York to do an interview with ABC’s “20/20.”  That interview is set to air on Friday night.
