Ex-KTTV Anchor Dorothy Lucey to Co-Host ‘The Young Turks’ on Current TV Tonight

Dorothy Lucey, who was ousted from KTTV last month after 17 years at the station, is co-hosting “The Young Turks” with Cenk Uygur on Current TV tonight.

Lucey will be in studio with Uygur for the full hour to talk about politics, current events and her split from the Los Angeles Fox O&O, a spokesperson for Current TV tells TVSpy.

Although Lucey was the entertainment reporter for “Good Day LA,” a source at Current says the co-hosting gig could be the start of a relationship between Lucey and the network, which continues to build out its progressive political programming. Lucey has described herself as a “liberal Christian.”

Lucey and Uygur know each other from his KTTV appearances. Until last month, Uygur was featured in a weekly political segment on “Good Day LA.”
