“It’s a fickle business,” Moss told the Press Herald. “I was told I was a fierce journalist with a great work ethic, but that viewers weren’t responding to me.”

She said she knew her contract had expired, but was surprised when told by station management on Tuesday that it would be her last day. She said she had no “ill feelings” for WMTW and wishes “the best” for her former colleagues.

WMTW president and general manager David Abel told TVSpy, the station doesn’t comment on personnel matters.

Moss had been an anchor at the station since 2007. She worked at the Portland NBC affiliate WCSH before coming to WMTW.

KTTV

Endo, who begins at KTTV July 1, was most recently a freelance reporter at WMAQ in Chicago. Prior to that, she spent five years as a national correspondent for CNN Newsource. She will contribute to “Studio 11 L.A.” and “Fox 11 News at 10 p.m” on KTTV and “Fox 11 News at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.” on sister station KCOP.

Quiroga joins KTTV from KVEA, the Telemundo station in Los Angeles, where she was an executive producer for 11 years. She begins at KTTV as executive producer for “Fox 11 News at 1o p.m.” on June 24.

Susan Isaacs

Isaacs has spent the past two years as a reporter for Louisiana Media Company, appearing as the morning traffic reporter on New Orleans Fox affiliate WVUE. Her move to WDSU coincides with an upgrade to the traffic systems at the NBC affiliate.

“Susan’s knowledge of area roadways and her ability to gather information that will help viewers get to their destinations in a timely manner is yet another reason to watch WDSU News This Morning,” WDSU news director Jonathan Shelley said in a statement.

“I can confirm that Jon Fischer is no longer at XETV or associated with San Diego 6 News. I cannot comment on any of the details regarding his departure,” general manager Chuck Dunning told TVSpy in an email.

Fischer’s departure comes less than a year after he joined the station in August 2012. Before joining XETV, he worked at KTLA in Los Angeles, WFTC in Minneapolis, KTVX in Salt Lake City and KMIR in Palm Springs, Calif.

“Dana began to insult him in front of their children and told him that he does not live there nor is he wanted there,” according to according to an affidavit by Greenwich police officer Kristin Lindstrom, summarizing Bill Evans’ version of events. His daughter asked him to move the car. He told her that he would after he changed, the affidavit said.

“Dana then stormed into the room and dumped the contents of his work bag on to the bed and retrieved the keys,” according to the document. When Bill Evans asked for his keys back, “Dana then punched him with her right hand on the left side of his face while holding the keys and then slapped him,” the WABC weatherman told police.

He said that she tried to “karate kick” him, but fell on the slippery hardwood floor. That’s when the fight turned really nasty, he claims, and she scratched his testicles. He says he then pushed her away, but she came at him with a wooden clothes hanger, whipping him in the back and buttocks.

In a recent Gallup poll, TV News is showing a small gain in the number of Americans who have a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the medium.

23 percent of Americans polled expressed confidence in TV News this year up from last year’s 21 percent. The bad news is out of 16 institutions represented in the poll, TV News and newspapers were trailed only by big business, organized labor, Health Maintenance Organizations and Congress.

In the study, liberals, those 65 and older, and those with high school educations or less showed the most confidence in TV news. You can view the chart after the jump. continued…

The “Sportsline” team — Atlanta radio hosts Steve “Steak” Shapiro, Chris Dimino and Nick Cellini — were also fired from 790/The Zone after they did a segment making fun of Steve Gleason, a former New Orleans Saints player who suffers from ALS, on their radio show.

WGCL general manager Trey Fabacher told Access Atlanta that without the “Sportline” hosts, the station plans to revive its sports department, which was dropped in 2009:

Fabacher, who arrived in Atlanta last fall, said given how big sports is in this town, he didn’t agree with this type of outsourcing. As a result, this unplanned firing at the Zone coincided with his decision to hire a new sports director in the next couple of weeks. He doesn’t have immediate plans to add more sports staff beyond the director for now.

He wasn’t ready to release details on what the sports director’s specific duties will be.

We know it’s a month old, but good comedy never goes out of style. The crew at KTWO‘s “Good Morning Wyoming” took a CNN story about the latest internet sensation that is sweeping the nation called Prancercise to another level.

With the Casper, WY, ABC affiliate’s anchor Andrew Lofholm and fitness trainer Karri Snow floating above footage of Prancercise founder Joanna Rohrback doing her thing, co-anchor Ali Bradley and meteorologist John Shrable showed their best Prancercise moves.

Lofholm told TVSpy, “Originally they wanted all three of us to get up there and dance. I didn’t think I had it in me so was it decided that I would be, what our News Director dubbed, the “Tom Bergeron” of the segment.  Give credit to Ali and John for being able to put themselves out there like that and dance.”

Snow suggested the pair needed athletic shoes so they wouldn’t roll their ankles and maybe some white pants to maximize the burn, while Lofholm at one point asked the two, “What exactly are you guys doing?” as if one could Prancercise wrong.
