Former WCVB Meteorologist Mark Rosenthal Calls 911 After Getting Lost in Apple Orchard
A former Boston meteorologist and his wife called 911 this weekend after they got lost apple picking at Honey Pot Hill Orchard in Stow, MA.
Mark Rosenthal, who was a Boston-based weathercaster for 30 years at WCVB and NECN, told Boston ABC-affiliate WHDH, “Here you’ve got this 56 year old guy, who was a weatherman forever, who should know his geography, who is lost in an apple orchard, feeling like a jerk, calling the police.”
In a remarkably similar situation, a Massachusetts family called 911 after getting stuck in a corn maze earlier this month. “For anybody else that decides to go apple picking before the season is over, if you have an iPhone, you can just Google map yourself out of the orchard or out of the maze,” WHDH’s Nicole Oliverio reminded viewers in her report (watch after the jump).
