Ted ‘Golden Voice’ Williams Tells Columbus’s WBNS Why He Left Rehab
Ted Williams, the homeless man who became an overnight celebrity with his golden voice, sat down with WBNS anchor Jerry Revish for an exclusive interview this week.
In the interview (a segment of which is posted above), Williams explains why he decided to leave rehab–a move that left many wondering if he would be able to take advantage of his much-publicized second chance.
Williams told Revish that his trip to rehab, which was orchestrated and promoted by Dr. Phil, was a “scripted circus.” Ultimately he felt that he could receive better treatment elsewhere. He says that he’s now enrolled in an outpatient program in Los Angeles.
