“Jeevan and Ayana are two very talented reporters,” said Coleen Marren, WTIC’s news director. “I am excited to bring their skills and experience to our station.”
Both Vittal and Harry have experience working in Connecticut. Vittal began his broadcasting career at the University of Hartford, where he worked as a reporter for the school’s TV station, STN 2, and eventually became its news director. Most recently Vittal was a reporter-anchor for WENY in Elmira, NY.
Harry is a New York City native who most recently worked for ABC News as a digital journalist. During her time with ABC, Harry covered stories throughout Connecticut.
“I’m excited to join the station!” Harry tweeted on Monday. Harry is set to begin on January 24 while Vittal will start on the 17th.
