WBKI, the CW-affiliate in Louisville, will launch a 7 p.m. newscast on September 17.

The newscast will be anchored by WDRB’s evening anchor team, David Scott and Jennifer Baileys. Fox-affiliated WDRB recently announced plans to enter into a shared-services agreement with WBKI.

“This is just the first of many cooperative moves that will benefit both WBKI and WDRB, and we couldn’t be more excited,” said WBKI owner Lynn Martin. “We’re pursuing many joint strategies to enhance WBKI’s profile in the market, and establishing an early evening news presence is one of the most important.”
