Katherine Stolp Leaves KEYE for Hi-Tech

Katherine Stolp has left her job as weekend anchor for Austin CBS affiliate KEYE for a communications job at an Austin hi-tech firm.

Stolp tweeted the news saying, “Life update! Leaving TV news indefinitely. Ready for the next adventure. Thanks for all the support!”

According to Gary Dinges with the Austin American-Statesman, Stolp has taken a job at Silicon Labs handling “community and university relations, as well as employee communications and engagement efforts.”

“After nearly a decade in the TV business, I’m ready for a new challenge,” she told Dinges. “I’ve learned a lot at KEYE, but the challenges at this new position will help me grow in ways that wouldn’t have happened at KEYE.”

Stolp had worked at KEYE for nearly six years. She has also worked at WEHT in Evansville, IN and KOMU in Columbia, MO.
