Kendis Gibson Joins WJLA in Washington, DC
Kendis Gibson, a former correspondent for CBS Newspath, is moving back east to join WJLA.
Gibson, who announced the move on Twitter, will be a weekday reporter and weekend anchor at WJLA, which is the ABC-affiliate in Washington, DC.
During his year as a CBS Newspath correspondent, Gibson was based in Los Angeles. He has worked at local station in several markets, including San Diego’s KSWB, Philadelphia’s WTXF and New York City’s WNBC, where he was one of the first reporters on the scene of the 9/11 attacks in lower Manhattan.
Although his official start date has not been announced, Gibson said on Twitter he will have started at the station in time for November sweeps.
