KNBC Hires Michael Brownlee to Co-Anchor New Midday Newscast

Michael Brownlee is joining KNBC as a general assignment reporter and co-anchor of the station’s new midday newscast, where he’ll work alongside Lucy Noland.

“Michael has the right combination of on-air vitality and journalism experience that is well-known in the greater Los Angeles area,” said Steve Carlston, KNBC’s new president and general manager, in announcing the move.  “He is a dynamic Anchor who will further strengthen our newscasts.”

A native of San Diego, Brownlee comes to KNBC from KCOP, the Fox-owned MyNetworkTV-affiliate in LA. Before joining KCOP in 2003, he worked as a reporter at KCBS.

“NBC4 LA is home to some of the most talented, respected and sought after journalists in the market and to be part of this incredible team is truly an honor for me,” Brownlee said.
