The three-year relationship between KTLA reporter Lu Parker and Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is over.

A spokesperson for Parker confirmed the split with the Los Angeles Times on Monday.

Parker, who has been with KTLA since 2005, began dating Villaraigosa in 2009, two years after the mayor was involved in an extramarital affair with a reporter for KVEA, the Los Angeles Telemundo station (he since divorced his wife).

A former Miss USA, Parker was working as an anchor and general assignment reporter for KTLA, often covering local politics, when she began dating Villaraigosa.

After the start of their relationship, KTLA moved Parker off of the anchor desk, and eventually redefined her role with the station as special correspondent.
