KTTV News Director Jose Rios Tapped to Oversee Fox O&Os’ Digital News Apps

Jose Rios, who has been news director of Los Angeles Fox O&O KTTV since 1992, has been appointed to vice president of digital news applications for Fox Television Stations.

“In order to increase our competitiveness in a world of portable and personal media consumption, we are creating this unique position,” said FTS CEO Jack Abernethy, in announcing the promotion. “Jose is the perfect person to lead these efforts.”

In his new post, Rios will coordinate the digital news applications of Fox O&Os while also working with stations to optimize their presence on social media.

“I am excited and honored to take on this new position,” said Rios, who joined KTTV as a managing editor and most recently held the position of vice president news director. “I look forward to working with our stations to expand their robust digital media platforms and continue to meet the changing needs of our viewers.”
