LA Weathercasters Go Head-to-Head in Charity Battle
Weathercasters, start your engines!
Mark Kriski of KTLA and Dallas Raines of KABC — both veteran weathercasters in the Los Angeles market — will go head-to-head Saturday night in a stock car race held at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA.
Raines and Kriski are two of the competitors in the Toyota Kids Against Cancer Celebrity Benefit stock car race, which will be held tomorrow night. They will drive identical S-2 NASCAR stock cars and compete against other celebrities, including Frankie Muniz and Kim Coates.
“People always say that it’s an easy job to be a weatherman in Los Angeles, so we decided to give two of the best ones a little driving test at the Speedway,” track VP-GM Bob DeFazio said. “They’re both as much fun in person as they are on screen, and both even more intense about driving in this event and doing some good in the fight against pediatric cancer.”
