Larry Ridley Joining WESH as Sports Director
Larry Ridley has landed a job as sports director at WESH in Orlando.
Ridley is moving to Orlando from Boston, where he worked as a sports anchor and reporter for NBC-affiliate WHDH. Ridley left WHDH last month after the station decided not to renew his contract.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Ridley said this week about his new job. “I’m definitely looking forward to the warmer temperatures.”
Final details of the agreement are still being worked out but he will likely appear during WESH’s weeknight newscasts. A father of four, Ridley is happy that his new job will allow him to spend weekends with his kids.
