Longtime Reporter Gail Huff Trades on TV Career in New Campaign Ads for Husband Scott Brown
Gail Huff, who ended a 17-year run as a general assignment reporter at Boston’s WCVB after her husband, Scott Brown, was elected to the U.S. Senate, is now appearing in two campaign ads for Brown’s reelection bid.
In both ads, Huff, who has worked as a part-time reporter at WJLA in D.C. since leaving WCVB, talks about how Brown supported her throughout her TV career. One of the ads (above) features footage of her reporting for WCVB.
As the Boston Herald points out, it’s the first time that Huff has been at the center of campaign ads for her husband. When Brown ran for Senate in 2010, Huff remained a silent supporter while she continued to work at WCVB.
