LA Stations Scramble to Cover Schwarzenegger Bombshell This Morning
This morning KTLA reporter Eric Spillman was stationed outside of a Brentwood coffee shop that Arnold Schwarzenegger frequents, hoping to run into the former governor as local news outlets scrambled to cover his surprise admission that he fathered a child ten years ago with a member of his household staff (video above).
Across town, KABC‘s Lisa Hernandez reported live from Woodland Hills, where Schwarzenegger recently had a school named after him. “It really comes out of left field for a lot of people we’ve spoken to this morning,” Hernandez said during KABC’s A.M. newscast. Video inside…
“The other shoe drops in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s marital breakup,” KCBS anchor Kent Shocknek said this morning, throwing to reporter Kirk Hawkins, who was standing outside the gated community where Schwarzenegger lives. Hawkins recounted information that the Los Angeles Times had reported this morning.

KNBC reporter John Cadiz Klemack was based in Brentwood as well and he read the statement that ran in the Los Angeles Times, although he left it ambiguous as to whether KNBC itself received Schwarzenegger’s statement or if he was simply reporting what had already run in the newspaper.
