Hartford police are investigating a suspicious container left outside the WVIT studio earlier this week resembling a Molotov cocktail.
Here’s the Hartford Courant:
Police said they were called to the TV station at 12:55 a.m. and officers found a bottle with a rag sticking out of it, although there was no fuel in the bottle, police Lt. Jeremy Clark. The bottle was left in front of the main entrance to the building, he said.
A bandana was wrapped around the bottle and a note. The message was “nonsensical” and referred to Russian organized crime, Clark said.
WVIT management could not be immediately reached for comment.
