After almost three years at KPRC in Houston, Nefertiti Jáquez is leaving for WCAU in Philadelphia, Houston media blogger Mike McGuff reports.

It’s a return to Philly for Jáquez, who spent three years as a reporter at WTXF before joining KPRC in 2010. Her last day in Houston will be December 31.

“I have recently decided to pursue my career goals closer to home, and my family,” Jáquez told McGuff. “I will be leaving at the end of the year. I am truly leaving here with mixed feelings; happy about the next step in my life, but sad to be leaving such a great city and community.”
