Following the success that national morning shows have had in recent years with live concert series, New Orleans’s WWL is set to launch a run of spring concerts that will air during its morning newscast.
The CBS-affiliate announced this week that it will debut the “Rhythm & News” concert series on April 29th, offering viewers the chance to join anchors Eric Paulsen and Sally-Ann Roberts in the French Quarter for a set of live shows every Friday through May.
“One of the things you’ve told us you love most about the Eyewitness Morning News is live, local music,” WWL said in a post on Tuesday. “Now, we’re taking that to a new level.”
The “Rythm & News” concert series will feature local musicians with performances airing live beginning at 8 a.m.
